Mrs. JoAnn Armistead

Mrs. JoAnn Armistead has a B.S. in Elementary Education from Gordon College, an M.A. in Teaching English as a Second Language from Central Missouri University, and worked as an educational therapist through the National Institute of Learning Development (NILD). This will be her family's second time to be part of the Veritas community, as her son Jared was enrolled at Veritas in 2001! Mrs. Armistead has considerable experience as a teacher, educational therapist, and ESL instructor in classrooms in America and abroad, having lived and taught in Pakistan for over a decade. She has been married to Dr. Scott Armistead for thirty-two years and has three sons and a daughter-in-law. In her spare time, she enjoys singing, swimming, and good books, with a particular love for children's literature.
